Member Notice – Nominations 2023

Dear Members,

Pursuant to the rules of St. Raphael’s Garda Credit Union Limited (“the Credit Union”), the Credit Union is commencing the process of selecting suitable candidates for nomination to the Board of Directors (4 vacancies) and the Board Oversight Committee (2 vacancies) at the Annual General Meeting (“AGM”) which will take place on Wednesday 7^th December 2022. 

All serving Directors and Board Oversight Committee members are required by law to be re-elected by rotation every three years. In addition to the serving Director and Board Oversight Committee members seeking re-election at this year’s AGM, all members of the Credit Union over 18 years are entitled to apply. Candidates elected at the AGM will be elected for a period of up to three years. The current serving Directors and Board Oversight Committee members will all be standing for re-election.

The role of a Director and Board Oversight Committee members is set out in the Credit Union Act 1997 (as amended). Under regulatory requirements, as set out by the Central Bank, all candidates must meet minimum fitness and probity standards. They can be accessed by clicking here.

Members applying for this position should be aware that it is voluntary and unpaid.

The closing date for the receipt of all fully completed Nomination Packs is Friday 4^th November 2022 at 5pm.
